GLTArchitects was hired to design  an addition on the west side of the existing facility to serve residents who suffer from dementia.  This one-story addition includes 14 private rooms which allowed 14 small semi-private rooms in the existing building to be converted to private rooms.  The $2 Million addition also contains dining and living room space to create a smaller, more home-like setting for the residents.  The residential  character of the new addition was designed to be compatible with, yet minimize, the institutional image of the older existing nursing home.
