GLTArchitects assisted the school district in developing a space program and concept plan that was ultimately used in the passing of a referendum with 66% of the vote. The plan called for two new additions to the school that will be used by the school district and the community.  The additions include a 400-seat performing arts center, gymnasium with walking track, fitness center, teen center with Internet access, community room for 100 people, daycare and preschool classrooms.

GLTArchitects was careful to maximize the use of existing space and land when determining the need and configuration of the additions, paying close attention to access, functionality, security and safety.

Energy savings and sustainable strategies were incorporated into the design to achieve an operating cost efficiency over code of $263,000 over 20 years, with a payback period of only 3.1 years for the additional costs of these measures.
