The groundbreaking for the Scheels Athletic Complex Addition took place this past Wednesday, August 26, 2020 under the direction of the Sartell Youth Rec Center, GLTArchitects – Steve Paash and Bradbury Stamm Construction.  Soon construction of the new RDR Arena/Scheels Athletic Complex will begin on the $6+ million addition that will add approximately 35,000SF to the existing Bernicks Arena hockey rink.  The new complex will include an additional sheet of ice that will also be used for multi-purpose turf practices in the off-season such as dry land training and also allow for other multiple sports to ulitize the turf space as well.  With an enclosed meeting space, 6 locker rooms, equipment storage and specifid storage this will be a great facility to continue to help the Sartell Hockey Programs and other team sports flourish in the years to come.
