The Toppan Merrill project includes a 56,400-sf warehouse, 13,500 sf office and reconfiguration of an existing 100,000 sf printing production facility. The new warehouse addition includes high piled storage, loading docks and a shipping/receiving office area. The existing print production space was re-configured and the existing warehouse was converted to print production space to increase capacity and printing capabilities in the facility. The new office addition provides additional space and improved amenities for the current and growing staff needs.

Careful management of the budget was required to meet project goals. Through analysis of first costs, long-term cost and suitability of materials for the intended use, the warehouse area was designed with a precast wall construction and steel framed roof assembly. The office area utilized cold-formed structural steel stud walls on a steel framed roof assembly.

A full rooftop solar array was included for the warehouse and office areas. Future growth was also considered with the ability to expand the office, production, and warehouse spaces.
