St. Cloud Technical and Community College purchased the previous home of
the Boy Scouts (2,400 s.f.) and added approximately 5,300 s.f. to create a living/
learning environment for students, as well as children. The center common space
(lit by clerestory glass) serves as an area for observation and learning by SCTCC
students enrolled in the Children & Adult Care Education Program. Numerous
exterior windows and interior windows flood dramatic levels of natural light
throughout the building. Areas for infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and Headstart
comprise most of the building.
