Creative Memories
Offices, Manufacturing & Distribution Warehouse

Antioch Corporation
St. Cloud, MN

The Creative Memories facility is located on a 55-acre site adjacent to I-94 in south St. Cloud. The site was first analyzed to determine the total buildable area as well as the initial layout. Site circulation was also a critical component of the overall site plan. The first phase is 330,000 s.f. which contains office, distribution, warehouse, and manufacturing functions. This precast concrete and steel structure is planned to expand by approximately 250,000 s.f. which would occur in future phases of construction. Future expansion space will include warehouse space and additional loading dock facilities. The entire site is planned for a total of approximately 1,000,000 s.f. of building space.

Office Remodel & Addition

St. Cloud, MN

KDV, a financial services and accounting firm, located in St. Cloud and the Twin Cities, turned to GLTArchitects for assistance in solving their space issues. The result is an addition that nearly doubles the size of the existing facility and a reorganization/remodel of the current space. The new configuration results in better circulation and incorporates a lease space that allows for future expansion. The goal, successfully accomplished, was to integrate the new construction with the existing and to present a refreshed physical image that was consistent with KDV’s corporate image.

A concern in the design was how to bring natural light to the central spaces of a relatively square 24,000 S.F. single-story building. The strategic placement of borrowed lights, workstations, and central skylights achieved the goal of a light, airy, and pleasant workspace.
