GLTA project wins MN B3 Award
Recipients of the B3 Award: Jason Theisen - SCTCC and Steve Paasch - GLTArchitects
GLTA worked with St. Cloud Technical & Community College on the renovation of the Health Science Building. SCTCC purchased a Health Partners clinic to be renovated to house all seven Health Science Programs under one roof. The project was selected for a 2025 Best of B3 Indoor Environmental Quality- Classroom/ Lab award based on a Post-Occupancy Evaluation Survey.
The goal of the B-3 guidelines for indoor Environmental Quality is to provide exemplary indoor air quality and other interior environmental conditions to promote occupant health, well-being and productivity.
Minnesota B3 (Buildings, Benchmarks & Beyond) is a set of guidelines designed to support sustainable building practices throughout the building lifecycles. It encompasses energy efficiency, sustainability and performance management for new construction and renovation of existing buildings.

GLTA is committed to Design with Purpose. We believe architecture should do more than look good – it should serve the people who utilize it and in doing so, respect the environment.
The B3 Award affirms our commitment to:
- Listening to our clients’ goals.
- Designing responsibly with sustainability in mind.
- Create spaces that inspire, connect and endure.
We would like to thank SCTCC for the opportunity to work together on this project. Thanking our Engineers, Michaud Cooley Erickson, for their innovative ideas and the
General Contractor, Kue Contractors, for bringing the design to reality.
